True Blue

Here's another card I made for this weeks challenge on the Your Next Stamp blog. I used a stamp called Birthday Surprise Fhiona from Your Next Stamp for my image, omitting the balloons she came with. She looked so cheerful, and since I didn't want to make another birthday card, I used her for a thank you card instead. I think it works well. She's so versatile!

I also used the sketch on the Friday Sketchers blog for my design.

Happy Friday!

My friend and I stopped into a scrapbook shop I've never been in before and I found this little treasure - a stamp from 'Your Next Stamp'. Her name is Fhiona. So cute! Don't you think?

I've altered the stamped image slightly by adding two more balloons (the stamp has one). Since I wanted her to look like she was floating up in the clouds, I thought it was more practical for her to have a few balloons lifting her up. I also paper pieced the balloons. The sky was made by punching decorative paper with my SU scalloped oval punch. I got the idea from a card posted on Splitcoast Stampers here.

Saturday Anya Sketch

I'm a sucker for a card sketch challenge! I love it. This weeks Saturday sketch on the Club Anya blog was no exception. Sometimes it brings me out of my comfort zone to try different layouts that I'd never think of trying. It can be so inpiring. ;)
